The Catseyesoup Rock Co-operative Compilation CD

This CD is first and foremost a promotional vehicle for bands playing original music. We gather some great original music and assemble it onto a CD, send YOU a bunch of CDs and you give them away to your fans. In short time 1000-2000 people have heard your music. Your contact info is included on the CD so your new fans can reach you.

We call this a Co-operative compilation. This means you have to help with getting the word out. Don’t leave a pile of these CDs in your basement, give them out at shows, go to your local independent record store and ask the manager if you can leave a pile and have him/her give them to his/her best customers for free. Send them to your local radio station, and don’t forget your local community and college radio stations.

It’s up to each and every band to get these CDs in the hands of listeners. The additional charge to be included on this CD is only $100. This helps pay for replication, printing, mastering etc. Each band will get at least 50 copies. We will NOT be placing this on any download service such as iTunes. This is YOUR music. If you want to get on iTunes or the like there are better ways to do it. Just ask and I’ll tell you.

We accept ANY style of ORIGINAL music. We do ask that it be “radio clean.”

If accepted you will have to grant us a mechanical license to produce these CDs, and sign a form that you wrote the song and own the sound recording. After this project is complete we will not produce any more copies without your express permission.
